What
other form do I need to fill out?
You
need a data form that will tell us what grade level you prefer to teach
or what other position you would like to apply for. The data form is found
in the "Teacher" section. After we find an assignment for you, you will
need to fill out an I-9 and W-4 form. These forms are included in the

Will
I become your employee or the school districts employee?
You will become a GESC employee with a classroom assignment in a specific
school district. You will be expected to follow school district's policy.
Who
will pay my salary?
GESC will pay your salary every 27th Day of the month. We use a "Freedom
CARD" from Texas State Bank to disperse wages. The "Freedom CARD" is like
a MASTERCARD, therefore, you do not have to wait for a paper check, your
salary will be available for you on the 27th Day of the month. After you
receive an assignment we will provide your "Freedom Card". You will personalize
your card with your own pin number.
Will
I lose my Teacher Retirement Benefits?
No, our contracts are only for 4 ½ months, therefore, no penalties. However,
we can extend a new contract to you after 4 ½ months. In the event that
you work continuously for longer than 6 months you may lose some of your
TRS benefit. We must point out to you that even if you lose some TRS checks
you will still improve your financial stability. Our Teacher Clients are
pleased with the increase in finances they have experienced while being
employed with GESC. Please call 1-800-381-0031 ex. 15 for further clarification.
What
happens if I am not happy with an assignment?
You can request a change of assignment. If a position is open and you
can transfer, we will facilitate the transfer. If there are no positions
available, then we will bring a substitute and you will be released from
your assignment.
